“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” Matthew 5:44

How many times have you heard someone say when the conflicts of the Middle East come up, that they have been fighting for thousands of years, and there is nothing that will change it? Well that is absolutely wrong, because there is something that will change the hatred and the unforgiveness, and it is the love of Jesus Christ. Yesterday I was reading several Christian blogs about the war in Lebanon and many of the blogs wrote of the prophesy given by Isaiah in Isaiah 17:1 concerning the destruction of Damascus. Many of the writers used the war and the prophesy as a call for people to repent and accept Jesus as Lord, which is great. But none of them called on believers to love the Muslims. And none of them called on us to pray for them.

When God told Abraham that He was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham instantly tried to stop the destruction by negotiating with God, Genesis 18. Even though Abraham had seen how evil these people were, He still earnestly desired for them to be saved. Yet it seems that today we just read the prophesy about Damascus and go great, they have killed and terrorized the world, bring it on. But we are now one with Christ, John 17:21, and our desire is now our Fathers desire, because as He is so are we on this earth, 1 John 4:17. And our Fathers will is that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of His Truth, 1 Timothy 2:4

The solution to the violence in the Middle East is for believers to use the weapons of our warfare that are spiritual and that are mighty to the bringing down of strongholds. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4. The Muslims are lost. They are filled with hate, they want revenge, and they are willing to either kill or support killing to satisfy their hatred. They hate Israel more than they love their own children. They encourage their own youth to commit suicide in a vain attempt to satisfy their hate. They kill and Israel, or America and Europe, strikes back and kill in retaliation and yet the hate remains. It is time that as Christians, who are truly full of power through Christ, join together and begin to use the weapons of prayer and love to stop the hatred! Through the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit we need to truly begin to desire that all Muslims are saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth, as is our Fathers will!

We need to desire that they know Christ better than we do, that they love Him more than we do. That Jesus is their first, middle, and last thought of the day. We need to desire that they are filled with all of the fullness of God and that they are far, far more witnesses of the Truth than they ever were for hatred. Think about their attitudes for a minute. If they are so united with hate how much more united can they be through true faith, love, and hope! The only solution is Jesus, and we believers possess the weapons that can bring Jesus to every Muslim nation. Our Father has made us to be more than conquerors through Christ Who loves us. And greater is our Lord and Savior Jesus, Who is within us, than anyone or anything that is in this world! God is for us, and there is nothing, nothing, that can be against us! And today we can all be used by our Father to love those who hate us, and the Light of our Father shining through us will absolutely drive out the darkness that is within our Muslim enemies!

Pray and watch the Hand of God begin to change the world. Watch the glorious church without spot or wrinkle emerge, as the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached with true power and demonstration of the Spirit to every nation and every people. Watch as God uses us to do greater works through than He did through Jesus. Watch as the lost are saved, the blind see, and the deaf hear! Watch as all of our sons and daughters prophesy. Watch as our young see visions and our old dream dreams of absolute victory in Jesus Christ. Watch as the power of Christ works as never before and than watch and see Jesus return! The love of God that is within us is far greater than the hate that is within the Muslims.
