Oh my goodness...is there no end to this? The truth is that Jesus died for all our sins, past present and future making us righteous in God's eyes, therefore giving us eternal salvation! Why did Jesus have to die for our sins? Because the law demands that sins must be paid for! Therefore the work of Christ on the cross shows that in the past, present or future, the law still stands but have been made powerless over us.

However, since we did nothing to deserve the righteousness and salvation given unto us when we are in Christ, this gift that God gave us is through His Grace! Standing on this grace helps us to know that we never have to do works to earn salvation! That is very different from saying that we do not do God's work at all. Because we love Him and we would want to do things for Him that please Him, just like when we love our human parents/BF/GF/wife/hubby etc, we do things for them to please them! So knowing this Grace and loving Christ for it will naturally produce good works!

What's so difficult to understand? That I can never understand....

I think those that preach Law (as in the need to do)or preach Law with Grace need to go back and really think about how logical that really is....
