Lord Jesus, thank you for your gift of righteousness. I cannot, in my own efforts, make one step toward you... or from my own resources, purchase one glance from your steadfast love. All is simply because of your loving kindness. Thank you for beginning the good work in me, by your grace. Help me to remember that it is because of you that I have the sure hope of remaining in you. Amen.
